At the Aria check-in desk, we’re informed there is a $25 “resort fee,” that includes internet access and a few other things that, anywhere else in the country, would be considered standard hotel amenities. The fee does not appear to be optional. In other words, all their rates are $25/day higher than advertised.
I already knew this from previous Vegas trips, but it still gets me a little. I’d think they’d be generous with the little stuff to make you happier to give them the big money, but that’s not how they see it. It’s bald-faced gouging across the board.
Yeah, you can read about high rolling and big bluffs on other poker blogs, but where else can you find carping about $25 surcharges?
